The implementation of the DynReAct PDP is organized in 7 WPs, where the main work (>40%) will be done in WP2 and WP3 using an agile development process. Each iteration of this process begins with a specification phase with the industrial partner in WP2 resulting in detailed functional requirements for the DynReAct platform and its backend components (Hierarchical planning system, Recommender system, Coil-order-allocation system, Plant performance modelling system).
Based on these requirements the specified components will be implemented in WP3 by the research partners. After each iteration a new release of the DynReAct platform will be deployed (MS1, MS4, MS5) followed by the next specification phase. In the DynReAct PDP in total three development cycles are foreseen with each cycle aiming to raise the TRL of the DynReAct platform and components by one level.
WP4 focuses on non-functional requirements of the DynReAct platform as security, useability and acceptance. User-friendly frontend tools for interaction with the platform and an intuitive setup and configuration tools will be developed here following the same release cycles as WP2+3 with T4.1 as specification task. WP5 focuses on the deployment of the DynReAct platform releases with the definition/update of functional tests and documentation after each release.
WP6 deals with the exploitation, covering both the open-source release of the core platform and the preparation of commercial services to be offered by the consortium members after finishing the project. This involves the development of a business plan for selected services and the development of training material for both existing and new platform users. In this WP also the potential of commercialising the platform to other sectors than the steel industry will be investigated.
Finally, WP7 deals with the communication and dissemination strategy. It also covers the standardization work, including the preparation and publication of a technical specification for the architecture and interfaces of the DynReAct platform. WP 1 covers the management and coordination activities (meetings, coordination, project monitoring and evaluation, financial management, progress reports, etc) and all the activities which are cross-cutting as the acquisition of industrial data and the continuous industrial feedback and roll-out supervision of the industrial partner thyssenkrupp Rasselstein.
